Bob first gained notoriety as the original drummer for the Ben Vaughn Combo, but his nightly show-stopping rendition of Clarence Carter's "Patches" suggested he had much more to offer. His own material has found inclusion in records by The Mekons and the Ernest Noyes Brookings CD series. Focusing on his original songwriting aspirations led him from New York City to Nashville, and his own version of "The Plans We Made" was included on Bloodshot Records' "Nashville: The Other Side of the Alley" compilation. "Things Fall Apart," Bob's debut solo CD will be released by Checkered Past Records in October '97. Bob has played everything from guitar to bongos with artists ranging from Jon Langford and Sally Timms to Syd Straw, Tim Carroll, and Amy Rigby.

"A New Jersey native buried hip-deep in the Nashville underground, Bob mines country music for its darkest truths. Also, he rocks." -- (Robert Christgau, Playboy)
